Malaysian airport H1N1 Screening .. "a joke"?

Sure! who would want to self declare him/herself for having a small flu or fever to risk being quarantined with other H1N1 potentials?

Recently i got off a international flight at Penang International Airport.
Passengers were given a declaration for, to fill up. Questions like

1) Were you in one of the affected H1N1 countries ..but did not specify where was the countries. THEY EXPECT PEOPLE TO KNOW WHICH COUNTRIES ARE AFFECTED. "WHAT ABOUT THOSE THAT HAS HAD RECENT CASES?"

2) Were you in contact with anyone suspected of H1N1?
Well the thing is, we wont know, as the symptoms are pretty normal. Not unless you have had that person checked out at the hospital

3) Do you have a cold or slight fever with sore throat?
Well, this would definitely give me away for quarantine.

So after filling up the form, with address and contact number. Just hand in your form and off you go. Welcome to the wonderful world of Malaysia, where they only worry when you have it!
